Fireworks were exactly what were popping off today (and for the last year or so)! Today I was asked by my boyfriend Ryan if I would marry him. Of course my answer was yes, that goes without saying! I can't even begin to express how blessed I am to be taking these great steps in life with him as well as having our family grow too! 2014 has already brought us so much joy! Now all I have to do is get used to calling him my fiance ;)

I love looking through photos I have taken in the past and finding what I call a "Diamond in the Rough". This is one of those photos I took but simply overlooked during the editing process. At second glance, I decided to give this little gem a second chance! On a cold day like today I am really missing the mild temperatures that fall brings us as well as the warm tones of the leaves. Soon spring will be here with vivid colors and I can't wait! Leave comments or message me, I would love to hear from you! If I could describe my weekend in one word it would be BUSY! On Saturday, I had the chance to celebrate the marriage of my cousin Kristin to Brad. These two are a match made in heaven! The ceremony was held in the beautiful Byrd Theater in downtown Richmond. The details of the theater were absolutely breathtaking! (I'll be posting a photo of the chandelier later, amazing!). Kris definitely put her own touch on the wedding. The decorations were based around dragonflies and gears, so her!Today, I capped off my weekend with a family session in Lorton, which was a great time! Be looking for more photos from the Pendleton wedding! I hope everyone is having a great week! I had the pleasure of photographing Shannon today in Fredericksburg! He is part of the Fredericksburg Beard Coalition who do so many awesome things for the community. And yes, his beard is quite the masterpiece! He sports an undefeated record against other beardo's in four different competitions; one of which he surpassed Jesus, Santa, and Ryan Gosling's beards to claim first prize. Not to mention he beat 3,000 other beards from across the nation! That's something to be proud of! Show Shannon and his other bearded brethren some love by "liking" their Facebook page
